What are the components of Informatica? And what is the purpose of each ?
Informatica Designer, Server Manager, Repository Manager. Designer for creating source & Target definitions, creating mapplets and mappings etc. Server Manger for creating sessions & batches, Scheduling the sessions & batches, monitoring the triggered sessions and batched, giving post and pre session commands, creating & editing folders with in a repository, establishing users, groups, priviliges & folder permissions, copy, delete,backup a repository, Viewung the history of sessions, viewing the locks on various objects and removing those locks etc.
